NASA Shuttle Haul

August 1, 2015 Heavy HaulTrucking

A modified jumbo 747 aircraft once used to transport space shuttles across the United States was hauled to Space Center Houston via Palletized Trucking on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Though the move of NASA 905 from Ellington Airport took two nights, months of preparation went into readying the city of Houston for the 920 foot convoy of trucks, shuttle parts, electricians, and engineers. The jumbo jet was moved from Ellington Field in seven large pieces during the night. Video provided by Woodallen Photo.
