What Type of Equipment Does Palletized Trucking Offer?

Palletized Trucking owns more than 300 trailers. Our fleet consists of stretch combinations including flatbeds, low-profile, double-drops, single drops, lowboys, Removable Goosenecks (RGN) lowboys, multi-axle lowboys, steerable dolly systems, stepdecks, stretch-stepdecks, flatbeds, dry vans, intermodal chassis, pick-up trucks, short and long stakebeds, goosenecks, and up to 40 foot mini-floats. We are continuously expanding our heavy haul capabilities and now offer equipment capable of moving loads weighing in excess of 175,000 LBS. These trailers are great for cargo such as transformers, generators, vessels, control buildings, long skids, and other heavy equipment and are very maneuverable in congested or tight areas.

Although we exited the Super Heavy Haul industry in 2016, we now offer logistics services that manage jobs completed by our industry partners with the capabilities to service our customers’ super heavy haul needs.

How much notice do I need to provide to schedule a heavy haul load?

Heavy haul availability depends on the type of equipment required to transport your special load. In most cases, we can offer flatbed and lowboy response within 3 business days, and many times we’ll be able to respond on the same day of your call.

How much notice do I need to provide to schedule a superload?

While we are not directly servicing customers with our assets for Super Heavy Haul loads, it is important to know that superloads are loads which exceed the dimensions and/or weights normally issued on routine permits. The definition of a superload varies from state to state. For an example, Texas defines a superload as one which, when loaded, exceeds 20′ wide, 18′-11″ high, or 125′ long. A permit of this description requires advance application and physical route inspection. The time required for this process to be completed can be several days, a week, or even more depending on the distance to be traveled, and whether or not utility companies have to be involved.

When the load exceeds 254,000 pounds gross weight, the application must also go through a structural evaluation by the Texas Department of Transportation, and possibly and additional evaluation by the Pavements Division. Time for these evaluations to be completed may require as much as one to two months.

While the dimensions of a superload and the time to process the permit application may vary from state to state, it is always advisable to plan ahead. Even while your cargo is still in the manufacturing stage, it’s not too soon to address the transportation phase of your project.

How much will it cost for my shipment?

Rates vary based on the commodity, origin, destination, size, weight, and equipment required. Our sales representatives will ask you for specific information, enabling them to calculate the most effective and economical means to address your needs.

Can I have a salesman call on my firm to discuss volume rates or project details?
